Design Basics - how to stack objects in Easil

How to bring an object to front / send to back

Stacking or layering objects in your design

Easil arranges objects in the canvas in a “stacked” order. How these objects appear in the canvas is directly affected by the order in which they are stacked.

For example – a text box is stacked on top of a graphic.

As a design gets more complex, it may be necessary to re-arrange how these elements are stacked.

To do this:

1. Click on the object you wish to place on top of another. Notice the stacking order of the object layer.

2. With the sidebar open, simply click bring forward. This will bring that object on top of another object sitting in front of it.

3. Repeat step #1 and press  send backward if you wish to place that object behind another.
