HOW TO USE THE LIVE STREAMING OVERLAYS IN STREAMYARD
Using the Live Stream overlays in StreamYard is easy, and our choice of streaming applications. This professional grade software allows you to live stream from your web browser, and interview multiple guests with ease. They have a free plan to get started, but you’ll need to upgrade to their basic plan to remove StreamYard Branding and allow upload of your own overlays, videos and more. [It’s worth it!]
- Log into StreamYard, and create a Broadcast. You’ll need to enter the studio to access the ‘Brand’ section of the application and manage your overlays (which will be available for any future Broadcast).
- Click on the ‘Brand’ tab on the right side of your screen, and then use the + Add overlay, + Add video clip and + Add background options to upload your files. Ensure you’ve used ‘PNG’ download format for any graphics that require a transparent area.
- When in your Broadcast (or even when practising prior to going live) you can click on each overlay video or background to have it immediately appear in your Stream. Toggling between graphics is as simple as clicking on a different overlay. Your active overlay, video or background will be highlighted in blue.
